Beers and a Birthday

To honor Stacey and her birthday we decided to turn our weekly Wednesday at the Vine into a mini birthday celebration. In addition to our regulars we had some special guest such as Grandma Brown, Lauren (Adam's sister) and Stephanie. Now the reason they are "special" is because they are not regulars but we love having them.

Here is some of the gang.....I guess Uncle Allen and Courtney are bored....sorry Stacey. : (

All smiles on this end of the table!!!
Look at all the love Stacey got from the bunch of us!!!
Here are the FAB FIVE......that could totally be the name of our Rock Band!!
Stacey with her free sundae from the Vine! See how much they love us there!! Stacey was nice enough to share with us too.
Make a wish Stacey!!!
We all had a great time celebrating Stacey's B-day with our $1 beers and wings!!
Happy Birthday Stacey!!

More to come!

P.S. Stacey-Please conclude all your birthday stuff by Sunday because that day is all about our Cardinals!! You don't get the whole week!!! : )

Laughter for one

Last night my roommate (Tyshan) and I decided to watch Step Brothers. I was so excited because I haven't watched it since I got it for Christmas. I had my beer and some pizza and the movie started. I actually started laughing a little right when it started just because I knew what was about to come. The movie starts and I'm cracking up. I looked over to my side and there is Tyshan sitting there just staring at the TV...no smile....no laughter...nothing!!! I was so disappointed. It totally ruined my Step Brothers experience to be the only one laughing. I mean don't get me wrong I still loved the movie and I still laughed at everything but it sucked watching it with such a sour pussy!

Once the movie was over Tyshan said "it was pretty good." WHAT????? Pretty good??? Trying freaking hilarious!!! I think he just said that to make me feel better but whatever.

I need to have a redo with my friends that really liked the movie and will laugh with me.

Movie night anyone??? : )

Twitter

I was introduced to this Twitter thing by my cousin Alyssa a few weeks ago. She suggested I add it to my blog. I looked at it and had no idea what the heck it was or how I add it so I just kind of left it alone. Alyssa then decided not to wait for anyone to start it so she did it. She sent out an email and just like that her sister was on it and then my sisters and me! She is such a trend starter!!

Now for you non-twitters I can't fully explain it myself because I'm still trying to understand it all but basically it's a way to just tell people what you are doing. For example if you are going to dinner you can update your twitter and say "going to dinner." This message is then sent to all your followers. You can get the messages on your phone too so at all times you can be updated on everyone and what they are doing! Like your not busy enough in life!! : )

Now this twitter thing is growing on me but the funny thing is I was watching Brothers & Sisters on Sunday and one of the sisters was talking about her lack of recent tech savvy things and she said "I mean I didn't even know how to twitter!" and I felt very special because I did!!!

Thanks Alyssa for introducing us to Twitter and making us all twits!! : )

Hope is Here!

Today is a historic day. The United States of America is swearing in the first African-American President. It's about time!!
President Obama took over as President at 12:00pm est. and can I just say the feeling of hope I have for this nation increased ten-fold. People may think it's silly that a nation or actually the world can have this much faith in one man but it's not. I know he will do a great job!! You just have to believe. My hope is that everyone who believes in this country will stand behind this man (no matter what your beliefs) and support him while he takes on one of the most difficult jobs in the world! OK, I spoke my peace on this subject!

To celebrate this historic night I had a small gather with my sisters and cousins. I made sauce less spaghetti, garlic bread and salad. It was a great little dinner party. It was lot of fun to get together for a dinner on a Tuesday night. I think we might actually start Tuesday Family Dinner Nights! Fun times!!! See what great things the President has started already!! Thanks Mr. President!!!

Fantasy Camp

Dad went to the D-back fantasy camp again this year. He had a great time and did it injury free!! Great job Dad!!

On Friday Steph, Shawn, Cameron, Devyn, Lara and me all drove down to Tucson to watch Dad play his exhibition game. His team put up a good fight but in the end lost the game. Dad was catcher the whole game and did an awesome job!!

Here are some photos I took of the game.

Don't forget to always stretch before playing any sport! Way to work it out DAD!!
And the fans go crazy for Brownie!!!!!
Who is that masked man???
Hey Batter, Batter, Batter.....SWING!!!! Not a good idea to taunt your Dad when he is up to bat!
Dad is batting at the game against the professionals....and he hit a single....GO DAD!!!
There is Dad on first base after his hit!!
Dad waving to his fans after the inning is over!!
Good game, good game, good game!!

Way to go Dad! Your kids are proud of you and you look like you had a lot of fun! Looking forward to next year!

Hands UP!!

Cameron and Devyn both went on the roller coaster California Screamin that has an upside loop in it. They were both really nervous but they did it. Here is a brief interview before the ride.

Sorry I don't have the after interview but they both said it was "AWESOME!" and that they would go again...in 2010 of course! Silly kids.
