Lights Out!

For those of you that don't know I have a second job at a store in the Chandler Mall called Trade Secret. It is the same store Courtney works in doing hair but she now works at Fiesta Mall. Well like most people I hate Monday but I hate it even more because I have to work both my jobs that day! Today when I went into work Courtney was there getting a color and cut by her friend Katie who works in my store. We are all standing around chatting (yeah, that is what I do at work....jealous!) when all of a sudden all the lights go out!!!!

Apparently, one whole side of the mall (top and bottom) had some electrical issue and all the stores had no power. I was super excited because I thought we could close the store and go home!! Security came by and said it would be a while before he power was back on and just to hang tight.

Here is the front of the store with the light from the mall helping to shine into our store. We thought about looting but if the other stores weren't going to do it then we would look dumb!!

As Katie tries to wash out the color I would snap photos with my camera for light. I guess I should have warned them that I was doing that.....I think Katie went blind after this photo! I offered to do this so Courtney could get her cut but she wasn't too thrilled with the idea!

After about an hour all the power came back on and everything was back to normal. Katie cut Courtney's hair (now she looks like Boo from Monster's Inc.....it's cute) and I had to actually work and put away the stock order! At least it was something fun and exciting that happened at work.......for once!!!
